Tragically, Midi (8 yo, male, black/tan) and his brother Eiger (2 yo, male, brown/brindle) lost their dad Michael Ferrara in a fatal car crash. Midi and Eiger have very different energy; therefore, we feel they will thrive in very different forever homes.
Midi is a mellow, gentle sweetheart. He is good with everyone and likely good with cats. Midi does have pannus, an immune-mediated condition that affects the cornea of the eyes ... made worse by exposure to sun (reflecting off snow). He needs steroid eye drops and Rex Specs goggles when in direct sunlight to slow down the progression of the condition. Midi deserves a comfortable retirement in a calm household with daily nature walks and lots of love. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply! (we are just assisting in the adoption)

YUKI
Hey, big dog lovers! My name is Yuki (Japanese for “Snow”) and I’m looking for my “furever” home with a fenced yard and a couch to lounge on. I’m 8 years old, weigh approximately 115 lbs and stand about 31“ at my shoulder. I’m not great with stairs so hope my new home doesn’t have too many. I am pretty much a big couch potato so a good soft bed would make me so happy as I have some arthritis in my hips and joints but am on some meds that really help. I do like to play some and go for shorter walks. I’m not great on a leash, I don’t really pull but I kinda like to just wander. I’m thought to be a Great Pyrenees mixed with Akbash as I do exhibit traits of both these LGD (Livestock Guardian Dog) breeds. I can be protective of my people and property and often do this by barking to let everyone know I’m on the job. I’m okay with many dogs but can be selective so Foster Mom believes I would enjoy being an “only” because I do love having all the attention! I don’t know about cats as I haven’t been around any. I am told I’m just the sweetest and super loving. I really love cuddles and hugs and sitting on your lap. I have lots of heart and will make an excellent companion. I’m house-trained and crate-trained (but although I’m trustworthy not being crated, I might do a bit of “counter-surfing” if something tempting is left out). I’m spayed and updated on all vetting. I may be just the dog you need in your life! Yuki is with CARE in Glenwood Springs, CO https://www.coloradoanimalrescue.org/adoption/ to apply!

Meet Kona (fka Kira)! She's a 10-month-old Herding breed mix with some Husky in there!
Weighing 51 lbs. with a beautiful, elegant body and gorgeous long legs --- she is a perfect mountain dog!
Kona is an absolute sweetheart and enjoys being with people and dog friends. She's an active young pup who loves to swim, hike and play fetch.
She'll be a great hiking or running partner, and will be your loyal, devoted companion. She also enjoys snuggling next to you on the couch, or by your feet while you’re working.
Kona is super smart and loves to play training games, as you can see in some of her videos. She is quite a nice walker on leash, and loves to learn. She is very responsive to working with our trainers and enjoys learning! She is a fun loving, brilliant dog.
We think Kona would thrive in a home with another friendly, fun resident dog. However if you are a committed home without a resident dog, that could work, too, as long as you’re dedicated to
Kona is currently being fostered in Colorado. Her adoption fee is partially sponsored by a generous donor, so her adoption fee will be $285.
If you are interested in Kona, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly.

Alex is a 7-9 year old Male Mix.
He is a handsome boy! He loves his walks or playing fetch with a tennis ball.
He is currently in a foster home with 3 other dogs, a husband and wife. and loves to hang out and play with them or curl up next to his foster mom for cuddles on the couch.
He is a flexible boy....he does not need a home with another dog....or if you do have one he will love a fur brother or sister.
Alex is looking for a home that will take him on walks or hikes. He is up for an adventure.
At night he does sleep soundly in his crate.
Alex would prefer to have someone that works from home so he feels safe and secure throughout the day. He will come and lay right at your feet while you work.
He would do best in a home that will continue with training, consistency and structure that are all important. GRFR will work with the adopter and will pay for his training
Currently he is on CBD oil because he is a bit nervous. He gets nervous with men so slow introductions are important- having a treat handy will help Alex learn men are ok. Continued training is important to help him with building his confidence.

Sweet Colt needs our help!
Courtesy Post only, not a Lucky Day dog, please contact katiebeckley22@gmail.com for details!
Colt is in need of a local CO foster or furever home. Do you have room for this sweet, happy guy?
His TX foster family says, “He gives the very best hugs! He’s an incredibly sweet, dog and people friendly, house trained loving 4 year old. Colt loves nothing more than affection and rubs, car rides, and being with others. He loves walks, play time with dogs and humans and his very favorite are snuggles with his humans! He’s a big boy 55 lbs but a lap dog at heart! He is affectionate, calm, and quiet particularly when everyone is hanging out together. He is non reactive to both people and other animals. He walks well on a leash without pulling and loves the sunshine! He is learning not to jump and is such a sweet boy! His lab mix side eats much too fast and will come with chew toys, a durable bed and a slow feeder for success!
He is a great affectionate sweet pet and we are so excited for him to get a great loving, Colorado home! We are praying someone opens their hearts and can’t wait to see pictures of him smiling with his family in the beautiful rocky mountains!

Ranger, 2.5 years old and 55 lbs. Cattle dog, Boxer, Shepherd, Blackmouth Cur mix
On 4th of July, Ranger strolled down 17th Ave at City Park in downtown Denver, and into the lives of what would be his new foster family. Despite his fur being in rough shape, and not being microchipped or neutered, he quickly settled in with one of the rescuers dog family in a nearby condo. He was shy and timid at first, but after realizing he was safe, started to warm up to his new surroundings. Within a day he was being playful with his new foster siblings (a shih tzu and an english springer spaniel).
Over the last six months, Ranger has been seen by (and done VERY well with) vets (to get up to date on all vaccines and medical procedures), been boarded at Petsmart (where he won over their staff with his sweet personality), been groomed/bathed where he did extremely well, and completed a two week board and train to continue to work on socialization and behavior skills. He continues to love dog training and is very motivated by delicious treats!
Ranger is looking for his next home (mostly because his foster mom is only allowed to have two). He would do best with a family / couple / person who is ready to be loved by him, open to playing lots of fetch at home or in fields, who will take him on walks / adventures, and will love having him as a copilot on car rides / road trips. He is great with other dogs if introduced slowly and properly so that they can become a pack, and would do best in a home without cats (unless he had even more time to acclimate). He’d also do better in a house with older kids (probably 8 and up) so that they understand to be patient / gentle with him. He loves having space to run and play fetch, so a yard would be great. Best not to put him in an apartment where the building/neighborhood is too saturated with dogs as he is still working on his leash reactivity. He’s crate trained and potty trained, and doesn’t chew on things (unless it's from the counter with a hint of leftover remnants of food/baking supplies).
Ranger is a lovable dog who will make the best snuggler, co pilot, and adventure buddy! CONTACT Ruthie (c) 262-894-7884

They can be separated as they need different things.
Midi is quiet, careful around his surroundings and loyal.
Eiger is like a teenage boy, always on a mission, looking for adventure.
Both are well behaved. For more info please contact Janet 970-379-0516

A very special dog looking for his new person. He is a healthy, well adjusted, neutered, vaccinated 42 pound amazing companion. Choco has a happy, playful spirit, socialized to people and other dogs and at least one cat who he lived with for 2 years. He is an excellent exercise buddy and can keep up on all the adventures you want to do. Great off leash with nice recall (once bonded of course). His current owner feels he would be happiest in a home where he could join others in the household on walks, runs and even bike rides.

These darling 3 grey Tabby kittens are about 9 weeks 2 Males and 1 female. They are litter box trained and used to dogs. These babies will be spay/neutered and will have their first round of vaccinations. They don’t yet have names, they are just called Teenie Tinnies. They were separated from their Moma at about 4 weeks and are all very bonded. They all play well together, sleep together and eat together. The dream would be that someone would like all 3 of them. If someone would like 2 of them I am considering keeping one of them. One of the males would be the best to be a 2 some and the other 2 I think would do ok solo. They are not Lucky Day kittens, please contact Andrea at a.bauer711@gmail.com for details!
I found Canela (“Cinnamon” in Spanish) living alone on the streets of Sonoyta, a border city in Sonora, Mexico. When I asked an elderly, local man near her if he knew the dog, he replied that he did, and when I noted her poor health he said that she had no owner. He suggested I take her with me to the States. “Won’t you miss her?”, I asked. “She’ll have a better life there.” he answered.
At that moment, I loaded her into my car and she joined my family of four “callejeros”...dogs from the street...each on his or her way to permanent homes in Colorado. After many visits spanning several months to various veterinarians on both sides of the border for testing, diagnosis, and treatment, Canela is now a healthy, happy, playful, beautiful young lady, and looking for a permanent home.
She is as cinammon as can be, from her eyes to her coat to her nails, save for a small splash of white on her chest. Non-aggressive to her core, her addition was seamless and graceful, and, it seems, her gratitude boundless, as though she had been waiting for us.
I think Canela would thrive in a variety of living situations, though especially as part of an active family that includes young children and other pets, surrounded by wide open space. Courtesy Post only Contact Kevin for details kjeddings@gmail.com
