Lucky Day has implemented spay and neuter programs in underserved and low income communities to help get to the root of the problem of pet overpopulation. We are committed to ending companion animal overpopulation by providing high quality, low-cost spay and neuter services for dogs and cats.
Our Arkansas program, started in 2014, has served almost 1000 companion animals to date in one of the poorest counties in that state. In June 2015, we began partnerships with mobile units within our home state of Colorado and as of May 2016 have assisted over 900 animals.
Our primary partnership in Colorado with Colorado Animal Welfare League (CAWL) focuses on the San Luis and Arkansas Valleys and provides monthly affordable clinic options for residents of those surrounding areas. These animals also receive any needed vaccinations as well as medical care that is within our means at the time of surgery. Most of the animals may not have otherwise had an opportunity to be evaluated medically.
