Nutter is ready to hike with you, run, skin, camp or cross country! She is ready for all of it. Nutter is not a fan of cats or small dogs. Big dogs and horses are awesome. She is very well trained and will slide right into that "Best Buddy" position. Nutter does love a mellow day with snuggles and couch time as well. 

Nutter is 3 years old, 60 pounds. We are thinking Labrador mixed with Mountain Cur! Up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. She is currently in the Snowmass area.

Shash is stunning! She is a 1 year old, 60 pound girl. She is very sweet, mild mannered and ready for love! Shash has lived with dogs of all sizes and genders including a puppy and is great with all. She is friendly and smiles like no other, she will melt your heart!

Ace 

This sweet doodle arrived in Colorado on September 16! He has acclimated and is now ready to find his people. Ace is a 4 yr old, 54 pound doodle. He could certainly use some extra weight! He can from Arkansas where his owner brought him in for euthanasia because he did not have time for him. No worries, we have him now! This sweet boy has become a shadow to his foster mom. He is going to need a place where he is the only dog, he likes meeting dogs on the path or park, but he wants all of the love at home. Ace is good with kids! No cats, rabbits or chickens!

As his previous owner did not have time for him, he needs someone with the patience to teach him all the necessary manners and skills. He is potty trained! Ace is a good boy and is ready to learn. He is currently in New Castle..

Meet Luna!
This special dog ended up with the wrong person and we would like to find her a home with the right person or whole family! She is sooo lovable and beautiful and sweet and has the BEST personality. She can’t wait to be part of a family where she will be adored. She will reward you with all her heart! Luna is 5 years, 7 months and 55 pounds. Angel baby!

Luna was at a pound for over a week, her owner finally came to claim her, took her home, tied her up and left her. It almost cost her her leg. Her leg got tangled up in the rope so the owner surrendered her again, he was worried her injury would cost him money.  Luckily, it looked worse than it was and she is healing really well. 

Luna likes other dogs, is friendly, happy and energetic and sooo thrilled to not be tied up anymore! Luna is coming to Lucky Day on Sept. 16 but we need a FOSTER or ADOPTER so she has a safe place to land. Can you help? She will be more than worth it!

Stella may have a bit of a uniquely adorable look, but this little lady more than makes up for it with her HUGE personality.

She is super snuggly, super playful, and incredibly loyal. Stella is just as happy curled up at home with her person as she is heading out for a long outdoor adventure. She does great off leash, has good recall, and absolutely loves being included in whatever her humans are doing.

Stella is also confident and comfortable as a follower in a pack. With other dogs around to show her the ropes, she’s learning more and more every day how to simply be a dog — play, explore, relax, and enjoy life. 🥹

She’s affectionate, fun, adventurous, and has so much loving, playful, ready-to-explore life in her.

Ribsy! This handsome pup is about 2 years old and 70 pounds. Not sure of his breed mix but his foster mom said he is the kindest dog ever. When I put his picture in my phone it says he is a German Wirehaired Pointer/Schnauzer mix? We really do not know.

Ribsy is a cuddler and wants to be part of a family. He loves dogs, cats and all humans small and large. He is terrified of loud noises and not too happy with car rides but likely because they have only led to the vet so we think that will get better in time. 

Ribsy loves to run and play but he has an old injury that prevents him from long hikes. We had X-Rays done and the vet couldn’t see anything wrong but he bunny hops when he gets going. 

Ribsy gets tired after about a mile walk and we think it is due to his back end issue. He has settled in nicely to his foster home. He is not crate trained as he is like 'hell no' but sleeps on the big Orthapedic bed they bought him. He needs to be picked up to be put in the car at present. He whines when he needs to go out to potty and is now using the doggie door. He is very food motivated and has learned to sit on command and learning to come. We are working on the down. He does like his walks and sniffing everything! With his food motivation he is easy to train. Very smart. Working on the jumping as he gets excited quickly.

Short afternoon or morning walks would be ideal currently., so he would do well with a less active person or family.  He is very much a puppy still and truly a perfect dog. Ribsy is currently being fostered in a loving home in Crawford, CO. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!

Please say Hello to Zeke, the sweet GoldenDoodle that is in need of a new home.  Zeke is seven years old, about 50 pounds and in great health.  Zeke is house trained, crate trained, is very good on a leash and is very friendly with other dogs and all people of all ages (likes kids!). His kind "Mom guardian", has been a tremendous supporter of animal rescue and unfortunately is very ill and now in hospice care. We want to help her rest easy knowing Zeke will be a loved family member of a new home.  Zeke is up to date on his shots and is neutered.

Bixby is up for adoption!

This darling boy is everyone’s best friend! Bixby is happy...happy to play, happy to get a belly rub, happy to hike with you, happy to play with other dogs, happy to hang out with your cat, happy to entertain the kids. "His sweet eyes just seem to laugh"! 40 pounds and just over a old,  perfect age and weight! Bixby is ready for some fun activities, he can keep up with you, you name it, he is game! Crate trained, but sleeps in a dog bed, dog door trained, leash trained, and getting quite good with recall, Bixby is all in! He can be a bit timid to start, he is quickly learning about all the great big world has to offer. Up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, microchipped. Veda!

Would you just look at this cutie?! Veda is a 6-8 month “Oodle” in need of a loving, fun, active, playful, did I say loving? Home! She will bring so much joy to whoever gets to share their lives with her.  She is currently having to live outside so we would like to bring her to CO but we need a FOSTER or ADOPTER first, can you help?  Her current rescuer describes her as very compliant and great with the other dogs.
