Calling all Rottie lovers! This girl needs your help. 

Lady Vega is a gorgeous Rottweiler who is about 6 years old and overweight at 101 lbs! She definitely needs to lose some weight to be healthy. She is a lover of people and deserves to be an adored family member. She was recently turned in to the shelter due to an out of state move. She was mostly an outdoor dog and we would love to find her a person or family who won’t leave her outside all day and night. 

Vega is very loving with people but can be dog selective so we would love for her to go to an experienced Rottie family to help her with boundaries, someone that gets the breed. Zephyr is ready for his new home!

A perfect mountain dog! Zephyr loves the snow, plays with his ball and can’t wait to go on a walk or hike with you! He then snuggles in for a cuddle session and a good puppy nap. Teddy!

This handsome fella is a big squishy teddy bear ready for his new home. Teddy is about 50 pounds and guessed to be 10 months old. Just a pup! He is a bit shy but oh so sweet. He just wants to be loved on. Toys are super fun and he loves to play. 

He was left at a vet clinic as the family could no longer afford to care for he and his brother. The vet was so kind to keep them as the local shelter is at maximum capacity and they wouldn’t have had a chance. Our rescue partner reached out to us and we are thrilled to get them to a cooler climate and are looking forward to finding them both loving homes in CO. 

Teddy is great with kids, cats and is dog-friendly. He loves car rides and being around people. He loves to go for walks and has been such a good boy at the vet’s office. He is already neutered, current on his vaccinations and negative for heartworm which is great. He is a bit smaller than his brother Rocket who also needs a home. We are now accepting applications. Johnny Walker is the cutest Chihuahua who loves people and is cat and dog-friendly.   Johnny Walker is five years and 12 lbs. He is a big baby. 

He lets strangers pick him up. He likes to cuddle. He was awfully dramatic about his shots at the vet's office, but when the staff at the Rescue looked at his nails, there were no problems when they touched them.  He is a little sweetheart! LuckyDayRescue.org to apply

Page is the perfect pooch, she 27 pounds and 2 years old, super sweet, loves other dogs, cats and is very kid friendly! She was dumped and found as a stray in Alabama. They are so overcrowded we would love to help but need a safe place for her to land in CO to bring her here. This girl loves to learn new things (tricks are so fun!) and is excellent at agility. She must have been an acrobat in her previous life because she loves jumping and running up and down ramps. She will do anything to please people. She is a Velro dog. She has been with the rescue for a while without any adoption interest which we can’t understand as she is a dream girl! Page would love Colorado.

Meet Kosmo!

This handsome fella is a 12 year old German-Pointer mix who weighs 90 pounds. His mom loves him so much but she had to move and he is having to be alone for long hours in a small apt. with no yard and she wants a better life for him. 

Kosmo is a well trained mellow guy who would love to live out his senior years with a person or family that can spend time with him and he would love a fenced in yard to enjoy. 

His current owner said about him:

"I think he would do best in a home with a fenced yard - he loves to lay outside in the sun and sniff the breeze. He does not dig. He would enjoy going on a slow 1/2 mile - 1 mile walk every day or every other day. He enjoys chewing on bones and squeaky toys and playing fetch with sticks. He loves to pick up his toy and bring it to you when you enter the room. He would enjoy being around people for most of the day or people coming and going. He likes to follow people around the house so he feels involved with whatever is going on. When people leave, he just goes to sleep. He is large but thinks he is small and is super friendly towards everyone he meets. He has been around cats and kids no problem but has never lived with either. Fine with dogs. He is good with walking on a leash and likes to stop and sniff a lot. I have used a pinch collar while walking him to help with controlling him if/when he pulls.

Halle is ready for her next wonderful family!

Meet a truly special girl: Halle. A six-year-old, (DOB 11/14/19) 70-pound beauty with a stunning black coat and the most unforgettable eyes - one bright blue and one warm brown. Her unique look turns heads everywhere she goes, but it’s her joyful spirit that really steals hearts.

She’s full of life and energy, always ready for a walk, a game, or an adventure with her favorite people. She’s amazing in the car and loves trips, making her a wonderful companion for outings near or far. Friendly by nature, she absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys meeting new people. When someone enters her world, her excitement sometimes gets the best of her - she just can’t hide how happy she is to see you.

Like many enthusiastic pups, she doesn’t always realize how strong she is, but it all comes from a place of pure affection and eagerness to connect. Highly intelligent and eager to learn, she is easily trained (including with an invisible fence) and loves playing fetch with her ball. With her playful personality and loving heart, she brings a lot of fun and warmth wherever she goes. Halle is a true spirit. Needs room to roam and someone to roam with. She loves the outdoors and the warmth of a great home. She really loves her crate and sleeps in at night.

Meet Maxwell! He is an amazing boy and is perfect for Colorado, especially since the summer is coming and Alabama is no fun for Huskies and their fur coats. 

Maxwell loves kids, people, and dogs. He thinks he is a lap dog. He is 48 lbs 1.5 years old and very gentle. He is a big baby and loves giving kisses. He walks lovely on a leash.

STELLALUNA

This sweet overbred Boston Terrier mix is ready for her next chapter. She is about 6 years old, 29 pounds and was terrified at the pound. Our rescue partners got her out of the shelter and into a loving foster home. As soon as she left the shelter she crawled into her foster mom’s lap and promptly fell asleep. 

Her foster mom in AR said:

“StellaLuna is a great girl and loves to sit on your lap or beside you. She seems to be scared of my bigger dogs so maybe in a home without anything over medium size and gentle. She's very quiet. She hasn't shown any interest in my cats but she's still scared so I can't say for sure if she's good with them just yet. I'll have my grands Sunday and will kid test her then. She hasn't snapped at any dogs so good temperament.” She just needs some time to decompress but is just the sweetest!

We want to bring her to CO to find her the perfect home but we need a foster to help! Those ears are the best.
