teddy

Teddy- big love!

eddy is up for adoption!
Teddy is an almost 4 year old German/Australian shepherd mix. He is a smart dog, who learns quickly (was potty trained using a bell in 2 days). He knows basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, shake, bed, come, leave it, walk and free. He does have a sensitive tummy so no beef or chicken. Currently on Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Stomach and Skin salmon and rice formula. For treats we've been limiting it to sweet potato, banana and peanut butter types. Other than that, no  health issues.
He loves to sunbathe and people watch, go on walks, hikes, playing in the snow especially and swimming! He does great at the dog parks and on walks.
Few things to note:
- He is an anxious dog when it comes to loud noises. Such as thunderstorms and fireworks, he will pace and whine and drool excessively, we use a Thundershirt to calm him down.
- He does have a dislike for delivery trucks (UPS, FedEx, Amazon etc) it’s the only time he barks and will run along the fence.
- He loves to play, and is almost 90 lbs so another home with a small dog probably isn't best.
-He sleeps in a dog bed or floor, wherever he wants.
- And a home without kids is best, he doesn’t like the noise and will go to the door to be let out if the volume gets too high.
He is super handsome and a really great dog who would love a quieter home and lots of love! He will reward you with all his heart. He is currently in Highlands Ranch (Denver area) LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!

ALVIN

Handsome fella!

Big Al is ready for his new home!

Alvin is a beautiful purebred St. Bernard who is guessed to be about 1.5 years old and is 145 pounds. He is a big boy with a huge head! This overgrown pup loves a good run/play but also is great at lounging around.  He is good with most other dogs but can be selective however he loves cats and is great with them. He will come with 2 free training sessions if needed. He has lived peacefully with other dogs but will need proper introductions as he can be selective.

Alvin will need an experienced person with large breed dogs and even better someone who 'gets' Saint Bernards. His foster dad loves him and he said this boy is magical! He needs a fenced in backyard to lounge in and would love to be in a cooler climate. A property with some acreage would be ideal but he will roam without a fence. He would love a horse property and is excellent with horses! Alvin is used to following two horses on trail ride for a 3-5 mile trek with other dogs. Alvin will gently paw you for attention and can get ‘mouthy’ but is learning not to do this. He is really sweet and good with kids but may be too much for toddlers. Great eyes and markings, very handsome! Good in the car. Loves going for walks, will turn heads wherever he goes. He is currently in a foster home in the Denver area. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!

peggy and marge

Peggy and Marge!

Peggy and Marge are purebred chocolate Newfoundlands in need of new homes, they can stay together or go to individual families. They are 3.5 years old (DOB 12/12/21) and weigh 109 each. They are GORGEOUS! These girls have been living in a backyard and although come inside for cuddles and playtime have spent most of their time in a yard or kennel. They are not used to riding in cars. They LOVE toys! They are good with other dogs, we don't know about cats.Peggy and Marge are great with people, friendly to strangers, good with family members including kids. They are not skilled at walking on a leash but do know some commands such as come, sit and go lay down. They will thrive with some more training, such sweet dogs! These girls would love some more interaction with people and we think will thrive being part of the family living inside. They have been jumping the fence and think it's great fun to swim in the neighbors pond and chase their chickens and ducks therefore the family are looking to find them a more suitable situation. They both love lots of attention and belly rubs are on the top of their list! Very beautiful, very friendly dogs who love to cuddle. They are already spayed, vaccinated with no medical issues. Currently in Elizabeth, CO. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!

gemma

Gemma- gorgeous Newfy!

Gemma is a 5 year old, 100 pound Newfoundland who is wonderfully calm and well-mannered in the house. She adores pets, belly rubs, and any kind of attention. She’s on the lazy side, a true couch-companion who’s happiest just being near her people.

Gemma doesn’t chew or get into things, so she can be trusted to roam freely. She’ll also go into a crate without fuss if needed, though it’s not necessary for her.

Gemma is fully potty trained, but can also have a sensitive tummy, so a consistent diet works best for her — no fancy treats or people food.

She hops right into the car without hesitation, though she tends to whine a bit during the ride.

Leash walks, however, are not her strong suit (yet!). She’s very strong and still learning, so she’ll need some patient leash training and a strong human.

Gemma enjoys having access to the outdoors and would do best in a home with a fenced yard where she can relax or explore at her own pace. She gets along well with other dogs but does not do well with cats, loves meeting new people, and has an easygoing, affectionate personality that makes her a joy to have around.

If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, low-energy companion who will fill your home with love (and a little drool), Gemma is your girl! She is currently in a loving foster home in Niwot, CO  LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!

pixie

Pixie - total sweetheart!

The darling little Pixie has arrived! She is a red miniature purebred Dachshund who came from a hoarding case (they had 76 dogs!) and is now in need of her new forever home in CO. She is DARLING! Pixie only weighs 14 pounds and is a bit thin but has a shiny coat and looks very healthy. She is about 2 years old. She is now spayed and current on all her vaccinations and thriving in her foster home in Aspen, CO. Pixie is shy at first but so badly wants to bond with someone (preferably a female) that she attaches quickly. We have only had her a few days but we know so far, she loves to cuddle up next to you in bed, will be your shadow following you everywhere you go, will need a patient person as she gains your trust and then will be your bestie! She does not yet know how to play with toys but is excellent on the leash and enjoys her walks and gives gentle kisses. Loud sounds and sudden movements make her nervous but once she relaxes she is a total delight! Pixie is completely potty trained and has a good appetite. She gets along well with other dogs of all ages and sizes but probably wouldn’t mind being the only child either. She was fine with my cat on a brief encounter. She is soft and cuddly and has a gorgeous shiny red coat. Pixie is ready for her person or people! LuckyDayRescue.org to apply

$400 adoption fee

kiki

Angel Pie!

Kiki is a 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix who is ready for a family of her own. Her new family will need to have some patience, she tends to start out quite shy. Once she is comfortable, Kiki is one of the most loving dogs. Her perfect day would be a mellow one at home with a bit of play, and a whole bunch of love. She likes to snuggle and give hugs. Like most dogs, Kiki does like to bark at people walking by, stop barking when called.
This beautiful girl is 52lbs, completely potty trained and crate trained. She is a total foodie- with treats and blueberries being her faves.
Kiki really needs a patient, loving family who has someone who works from home or is home more often. Kiki is very shy around new people, she takes some time to warm up. She has 4 teens in the home, has a bestie dachshund and does fine around the kitties. She is dog friendly, needing proper introductions for success. Kiki would do best with a backyard as she loves to spend her time outside. Older children are a great fit.
Kiki is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply to meet this girl! She deserves the happiest ever after. She is currently in a loving foster home in Aurora.
