Calling all Rottie lovers! This girl needs your help. 

Lady Vega is a gorgeous Rottweiler who is about 6 years old and overweight at 101 lbs! She definitely needs to lose some weight to be healthy. She is a lover of people and deserves to be an adored family member. She was recently turned in to the shelter due to an out of state move. She was mostly an outdoor dog and we would love to find her a person or family who won’t leave her outside all day and night. 

Vega is very loving with people but can be dog selective so we would love for her to go to an experienced Rottie family to help her with boundaries, someone that gets the breed. Irish! This guy needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER starting June 10. Can you help??

Irish is a 3 year old, 68 pound Vizsla mix (maybe with some Rhodesian Ridgeback?) His owner passed away and now he needs a new person or whole family to love him. He is currently at a foster home in AR and his foster mom said about him: 

"OMG! Irish is AMAZING! He’s great with all dogs. May be a little shy when he first meets you but doesn’t last long.  He is just about perfect!  He is magnificent! Sweet old man Benny is ready for his last home, is that with you?

Benny appears to be a Chihuahua mix who is 12 pounds but shedding the extra lbs at his new foster home, getting healthy! The vet in Arkansas guessed him to be 9 years old but his current fosters believe him to be more like 11-12. He is hard of hearing, possibly deaf but it doesn’t slow him down. Benny is really good on a leash and loves being outside! His current foster mama said about him:

"He loves to be outside, at the park on a leash or chasing his foster brother and sister outside.  He's a low key guy that sleeps in a crate through the night, appears to be potty trained but we do let him out whenever he gets up from a nap.  His personality is starting to come out and he has started to explore the house.  He is losing weight too!"

This little fella has had a rough road. His owner ended up in the hospital and the landlord kicked Benny out, just put him outside to fend for himself. He had this massive tumor he was dragging around. Our lovely rescue partners got him and took him to the vet. Lucky Day paid for his tumor to be removed and got him all vetted including a dental.  He is a gentle soul. If you want to give a loving senior guy a home, he will reward you with all his heart! FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR Lola! - starting June 10

Lola's owner passed and she found herself turned in to the shelter. The shelter is so full, she is now with some kind, older fosters in Arkansas in an outdoor pen with access to a little kennel building, but it is not ideal. We would love to bring her to CO but we need a safe place for her to land. 

Lola is a 7 year old, 68 pound Standard Poodle, just gorgeous! 

Her AR fosters said “Lola is wonderful, has more energy than Frank, great on a leash and is also such a great dog.” Lola is sweet, gentle and full of love. She is super friendly, good with other dogs and a total gem. Can you help Lola on her journey? Jazzy!

Coming to Lucky Day June 10!  Jazzy was dumped out in the country and our amazing rescue partners caught her. She was microchipped and when the owners were contacted they said go ahead and rehome her as they had moved out of the area (she had given Jazzy to her boyfriend who abandoned her- ugh!). 

Most importantly we are excited to have her come to CO to find her a loving home! She is super sweet and submissive, walks like a champ on the leash and is a true treasure. She is guessed to be about 5 years old and 31lbs. Maybe a little chunky?

River is a sweet, soft Golden Retriever mix (maybe with Anatolian Shepherd?), he  is almost 2 years old and 80 pounds. This sweet boy loves other dogs and kids and cats! STELLALUNA

This sweet overbred Boston Terrier mix is ready for her next chapter. She is about 6 years old, 29 pounds and was terrified at the pound. Our rescue partners got her out of the shelter and into a loving foster home. As soon as she left the shelter she crawled into her foster mom’s lap and promptly fell asleep. 

Her foster mom in AR said:

“StellaLuna is a great girl and loves to sit on your lap or beside you. She seems to be scared of my bigger dogs so maybe in a home without anything over medium size and gentle. She's very quiet. She hasn't shown any interest in my cats but she's still scared so I can't say for sure if she's good with them just yet. I'll have my grands Sunday and will kid test her then. She hasn't snapped at any dogs so good temperament.” She just needs some time to decompress but is just the sweetest!

We want to bring her to CO to find her the perfect home but we need a foster to help! Those ears are the best.
