Bella is an almost all white heeler cross, about 60 pounds but could use to lose a few! She was born in January 2023, so just turned 2 years old. Her mom was deaf and we think Bella also has a hearing impairment. Bella does not seem to respond to whistles or clapping from a distance, etc. Her responses seem to be smell and movement triggered. We think she hears very little and would love another dog to follow around. She loves other dogs! She is spayed and housebroken, and she likes to sleep with her owner, a great cuddler and gives the best kisses. She is not well-practiced at being on a leash but we think it is due to her hearing loss, once the leash is on she does just fine. Her mama lost her home and so she is now in a boarding facility in need of a new family or person to love. Bella is super sweet, a very friendly happy girl! Bella loves to play so would love another dog sibling but would also be fine as an only pet. She is very indifferent to the cats she sees at the shelter.  Her rescuer said Whoever adopts this dog will need to have her in a safe yard and be patient with her in returning to them in the house. She will run in fear if she is not sure who you are and what you are going to do with her. I think, though, that once she knows her person, she will be an amazing companion. Cinnamon!

This cutie has arrived and is ready for her new home. She is just the cutest! We don’t know what breed mix she is, any guesses? She is 20 pounds and full of personality. She is very loyal and would love a person to bond with. Best companion ever. Cinnamon is a year and a half. She knows the doggie door, is crate trained and loves to go on car rides. She also loves to sleep in bed with her person, preferably under the covers. She can stand on her back legs when she wants something. She pulls on the leash so will need some leash training. She also doesn’t like skateboards or bikes or certain dogs when on the leash so will need to work on that too. She is good with dogs when properly introduced and has lived with 2 Dachshunds and a few mixed breeds no problem at all. She even was used to being crated with the Dachshunds. Meet the GORGEOUS Ocean!

This beauty is 50% Newfoundland, 50% St. Bernard, 100% amazing! She just had her first birthday (on NYE) and is in need of a new home. She weighs 93 pounds with a beautiful, thick black coat and fluffy plume tail. She LOVES being with her people, her current person said she is perfect in every way, the sweetest most special dog but needs to be in home with no other dogs as she is starting to get dominant inside the home. She LOVES to play with other dogs outside the home. Ocean will thrive in a home where she can get all the attention, isn’t left alone much and would love a big backyard to enjoy. She LOVES to be outside, especially in the snow. She loves to run and play but will do better with leash walks right now as she has some structural issues that need addressing. She is very good on a leash and is a really good listener but needs a solid leader or she is happy to take on that roll. Ocean has been very well socialized and does well in various situations and loves the attention of all, the more the better! She is so snuggly and a huge cuddler, smells delicious and would love to be pet all day long. Plus she is smart!

Sadly, Ocean was born with some structural issues and is in need of some surgeries. She has been to one Orthopedic Surgeon who suggested she get 2 TPLO surgeries for torn ACL’s and a hip replacement, maybe both sides. She is going to Colorado Springs for a second opinion but she definitely will need some surgeries and someone to help rehab her. Once they are complete and she is healed she will literally be BIONIC and able to do anything, as she deserves!

Meet Hazlenut!  

This sweet gal came to us from an overcrowded shelter out of state where she and her liter mates had been dumped.  

This little love bug has a few things SHE particularly loves and those are her toys, sticks, her dog friends and most of all sunbathing!!!!  Anywhere there is a sun spot, Hazlenut is going to find it!   She loves being outdoors and just loves to lay in the sun!

She is so totally loving and also loves to snuggles up with blankets!  

She is great in her crate and could also be a trusted free roamer as long as things are picked up!   

She is almost 10 months old, spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Meet Coconut!  This sweet 10 month old gal was part of an entire liter of puppies who got dumped at an out of state shelter.  She got lucky with a sweet ride to Colorado and is here now excited to find her forever family!  

She’s sweet as honey with a side of sass!!!  She is up to date on vaccinations and spayed.  She LOVES walking around with her favorite toys and finding sticks and bones to chew on.  She can be found snuggled up with a toy or wanting to snuggle up in your lap!  She is great with other dogs and will bring them her sticks to see if they want to play!  

She is absolutely adorable and lap size for your perfect movie snuggle buddy and activity companion!  She does well in her crate and is house trained and LOVES to be outside!!!

Meet the gorgeous Turk! He is named Turk, because he has the most beautiful turquoise eyes that will melt you. Turk is 3 years old (DOB 01/18/2021) and is about 65 pounds of love. His DNA results show he is a Pitsky! Pitbull/Husky mix.  He is sweet, energetic yet a calm good goofball of a boy. He loves his crate but he loves kids more, he is amazing with them! He really loves all kids.  He does great with other dogs and loves to run and play. NO cats! NO chickens! He is athletic and can jump a fence if left alone too long. Midus! This 1.5 yr Shepsky is currently living with a loving foster family in Carbondale and looking for his forever home! Midus would do best with an active family and preferably another dog. He is very athletic and will love to keep up alongside you on mountain bikes, skis, and horses for long distances! He loves to learn and is extremely smart.
