FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR HARVEY! Arriving June 1
Gorgeous Harvey is about 2 years old, waiting on his DNA results. He is currently in a loving foster home in AR - this is what his foster mama said about him:
'Harvey is ready for his forever home. He has been my project love dog. He came to the neighborhood starving, injured & scared at night during the snow in January...almost too stinky to put in the car😢...took 3 days to get his tail to wag a little.
...A few weeks later, he is the Best Boy!!!! He is literally the happiest dog I have ever seen. Super treat motivated, so would be easy to train further! He plays well with others...adults, kids, dogs, cats & a pig ....I have 6 pretty serious adult dogs & he reads the room well. He just bounces off of them & plays around them. I have not seen one ounce of aggression from him towards any farm animal...(just FYI, never have I ever had a foster who was so good with everything!! ) Favorite toy is a feed bucket & Jolly Ball...He is now neutered and is HW Negative (yay!) Great on a leash & potty trained & is crate trained. He is very athletic, would make a great exercise/hiking buddy. He would love a fenced in yard with room to play. Loves to ride in the car! He received an A+ at daycare and is ready to bring so much joy to his new person or family!' Fostered in a loving home in New Castle. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply

Chip is up for adoption!
This little guy was picked up as a stray and never claimed. He looks to be a Yorkshire Terrier/Schnauzer mix, a Shnorkie! Just adorable. He is guessed to be about 2-3 years old and is 10.8 pounds of preciousness. His foster mom said about him: ‘I hit the jackpot with this one, he is incredibly adorable. Chip is amazing, he is gonna make someone such a wonderful dog. He is excellent on leash and just a delight to have around.' Gets along well with all the other dogs, is playful, fun and pure joy! Alvin is a beautiful St. Bernard who is guessed to be about 1.5 years old and is 142 pounds. He is a big boy! His Arkansas foster mom said about him:
“Alvin is doing really well. He's not keen on car rides, but I think it’s because he can't get in or out very well. Once he is in he is good. He's literally a gentle giant - he does everything in slow motion, from walking to barking to playing. He's starting to learn what toys are... he wasn't really sure and still isn't about playing. He recently started chewing on various horns and bones.
As for other dogs, he does fine, especially with little ones, he’s not quite sure how to play with the larger ones. For cats, he wants SO MUCH to be best friends but just doesn't understand why they run away....and then he cries about it.He loves to give "kisses" and will gently put his entire mouth on you if he wants attention, sometimes it escalates so we are working on controlling his excitement. “
He will need an experienced person with large breed dogs and even better someone who ‘gets’ Saint Bernards. He hasn’t had much training so we are looking for a home with a dedicated person to help him be his best self! He would love a backyard to lounge in and would love to be in a cooler climate. He will gently paw you for attention, so adorable. Great eyes and markings, very handsome! He is currently in a foster home in Aspen. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!

Mabel!
This gorgeous NewfyPoo (Newfoundland/Poodle mix) is in need of a new home. She is still a baby at 9 months old (Born 9/1/2024) and is 80 pounds but is still growing. Her current owners are getting a divorce and neither can take her. Mabel plays well with other dogs and is house trained. She likes to play with toys and is good with cats, other dogs and is good with kids and adults. Mabel is leash trained wearing a harness, she knows the commands sit, stay, down, and paw. She has been evaluated by a rescue volunteer who said:
First, Mabel is a lovely 80% newfie mix. Fur, coat, size, tail etc. is newfie. The only standard poodle you see is in her face. Her snout is thinner and head not so square. She is lovely, she did not jump on me or bark when I came in. She was only mildly mouthy and it was on the softer side and easily corrected. She was calm, took treats very softly, knows sit and paw. She LOVES belly rubs and is a leaner. She's young and sweet. I found her to be a 9 month old very large dog with a gentle playful demeanor. She's highly trainable, sweet and absolutely gorgeous! The adorable Coco has arrived!
She was an owner surrender, unwanted litter of pups. We were told the mom was a Shih Tzu, dad unknown. This delightful little one is about 9 pounds and around 5 months old, still very much a puppy! When she and her sisters arrived, it was as if they had never even touched grass, everything so new. They have settled in nicely and their darling personalities have surfaced. She and her sisters are absolutely delightful! They have learned how much fun toys are and bring so much joy just watching them play! They are potty trained as far as we can tell, no accidents in the house for a few days. Coco is a Velcro puppy, she wants to be touching a human at all times, preferably in your lap. She has a soft white coat that will need professional grooming. Maybe some Maltese in her? Hard to know. Coco is good with other dogs, a little shy at first but warms up quickly. LOVES to play with dogs her size. She will need more leash training and has clearly never been walked before but is enjoying getting out in the world. She and her sisters will need some basic obedience training but they want to please and come when you whistle which is helpful! All 3 sisters are being fostered in homes in Aspen. Bella has arrived and is ready for her new home!
She is a gorgeous German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) looking for a GSP person! Bella is 4 years old and 44 pounds. She is super sweet, loves toys and loves to be by her person. Being in the house is new to her as she was an outdoor only girl in Arkansas but she really wants to please and although the transition has been hard she does well in her crate, is excellent with dogs of all sizes and ages and is really good with the older kids in the foster home.
She is true to her breed:
GSPs are known for their versatility, intelligence, and high energy levels. They are loyal, affectionate, and make excellent family dogs when given adequate exercise and training. GSPs are also known for their strong hunting instincts, which can be channeled into various activities, they make excellent running partners. They are intelligent and highly trainable. They are quick learners and respond well to positive reinforcement training methods, but their intelligence can also lead to stubbornness if not handled with patience and consistency. They are loyal and affectionate and are known for forming strong bonds with their families and enjoy being close to their humans. Due to their high energy and independent nature, they are generally recommended for experienced dog owners.
Bella is spayed, current on all her vaccinations and is being fostered in a loving home in the Denver area. If you would like to meet this special girl please go to LuckyDayRescue.org to apply
