Jake is up for adoption!
Little 13 pound, 12 week old Jake will arrive Oct. 29 to CO and we are now accepting applications for him.
Jake is a sweetheart and very playful. He has a happy disposition. He walks on leash and is crate and house trained. He already knows how to use the dog door. He loves toys and plays like a puppy! Chewing is big time at this age so chew toys are key. He typically naps from 10:30 until 1:30 daily. Then he is ready for playtime and snuggling. Jake will play with dogs of all sizes. Big dogs don’t scare him. Truly he is pure joy. Sweet, happy typical pup with short little legs. The vet thinks Dachshund mix, so adorable! Jake will be fostered in a home in Denver.

Teddy is up for adoption!
Meet Teddy! A super smart German Shepard/Aussie mix! He is currently looking for a new home. Almost 4 years old, and 85 pounds, Teddy is beautifully trained. Easy on a leash, uses bells on the door to let you know when he needs to go outside, great at the dog park, up for a car ride…Teddy would make a perfect companion. He is an avid sunbather and people watcher, not too interested in fetch. But a good long hike, swim or romp in the snow is a whole different story.
Typical for his breed, he loves to protect the house from the UPS driver and all those pesky solicitors.
His perfect home would be kid free, cat free and no other dogs. Just Teddy. He wants all the love and attention. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply. Currently in the Denver metro area.

Big Al is ready for his new home!
Alvin is a beautiful purebred St. Bernard who is guessed to be about 1.5 years old and is 145 pounds. He is a big boy with a huge head! This overgrown pup loves a good run/play but also is great at lounging around. He is good with most other dogs but can be selective however he loves cats and is great with them. He will come with 2 free training sessions if needed. He has lived peacefully with other dogs but will need proper introductions as he can be selective.
Alvin will need an experienced person with large breed dogs and even better someone who 'gets' Saint Bernards. His foster dad loves him and he said this boy is magical! He needs a fenced in backyard to lounge in and would love to be in a cooler climate. A property with some acreage would be ideal but he will roam without a fence. He would love a horse property and is excellent with horses! Alvin is used to following two horses on trail ride for a 3-5 mile trek with other dogs. Alvin will gently paw you for attention and can get ‘mouthy’ but is learning not to do this. He is really sweet and good with kids but may be too much for toddlers. Great eyes and markings, very handsome! Good in the car. Loves going for walks, will turn heads wherever he goes. He is currently in a foster home in the Denver area. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!

Meet Gordon: The Lovable Gentle Giant
Gordon is a big, handsome boy with an even bigger heart. He is a Saint Bernard/Newfoundland/Great Pyrenees mix weighing in at 107 pounds and is 6 years old (DOB 4/19/2019). Affectionately known as a "gentle giant," he radiates politeness and calm energy when inside the home. He's looking for a dedicated forever family that can match his love for life with clear boundaries and consistent routine.
The Perfect Companion
Gordon is a true family dog. He gets along famously with other dogs, children of all ages, and senior adults, making him an ideal fit for nearly any household. He’s incredibly tolerant and gentle during handling—he doesn’t mind having his ears touched, his mouth examined, or his paws handled, which speaks volumes about his sweet disposition and adaptability.
At home, he has impeccable manners regarding food and will happily let you take a bowl away without protest. However, be warned: this smart cookie is the self-proclaimed "King of Counter Surfing" and loves a good snack hunt! His ideal family will keep counters clear or have a good sense of humor about finding a missing sock or biscuit.
When the day is done, Gordon’s only demand is a big, soft space on the bed or couch to cuddle up right next to you. His loyalty is unparalleled once he bonds with his people.
Working On His Best Self
Gordon needs an active family ready to put in the time and effort to help him shine. He needs lots of exercise to burn off his substantial energy and is a work in progress when it comes to leash manners.
A note on safety: Gordon has a history of bolting out doors if given the chance. Since he has no recall in open spaces, this behavior can be alarming. His future family must be vigilant about door safety gates, double leashes, and careful entering/exiting protocols are a must to keep this sweet boy safe and sound.
He’s very strong on the leash, and while he responds well to correction, he sometimes forgets his training in his excitement. He would thrive with someone who has the physical strength and energy to manage his pulling. A quick jog or run to start the walk helps significantly to tire him out, making the rest of the outing much more manageable.
For now, he is a leash-only dog in open spaces, he would really love a home with a fenced in yard.
Gordon's Ideal Home
Gordon needs a confident owner who can provide consistency, boundaries, and patience. In return, you will gain an incredibly loyal, loving, and gentle companion who is eager to please and ready to be part of your family's next adventure. He is currently in a loving foster home in Westminster. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!
If you have already applied and are still interested, please let us know now that we know more about him! Gordon has recently been groomed and did wonderfully, is neutered and current on all his vaccinations.

Jeanie, the four-legged phenomenon, is living proof that if you wish hard enough for the perfect companion, sometimes the universe sends a slightly used, extremely enthusiastic dog instead. She's less of a mythical wish-granter and more of a "Jeanie in the bottle, rub me the right way" type of girl—a little belly rub here, a high-five there, and your wish for unconditional love is granted.
This adorable little "hiney shaker" (her words, not ours) is always ready to wag, wiggle, and make you giggle. She is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet and believes that life is better with friends, frequently asking for playdates because she loves other dogs and playing with them.
When she's not learning her "down" command or showing off how quickly she can sit, she's engaging in her favorite pastime: snuggling. Jeanie firmly believes that the most important part of her day is making sure you are adequately warm and thoroughly adored. She has lots of energy, loves her walks (she’s great on a leash!), and has mastered the art of using a dog door.
Jeanie loves all people, but she needs a little patience and a safe space. She does have some separation anxiety and needs a kennel to feel secure when you're out—consider it her magic lamp where she rests until you return! She especially likes her kennel if you mix in some peanut butter with kibble and give it to her in a Kong.
Regarding house rules, she's an honest sort: she barks at the fence to say hello (or maybe just critique the neighbor's yard work), but she doesn’t jump split rail fences. And cats? She leaves cats alone, preferring to keep a respectful distance from those claws.
Jeanie promises to make your life infinitely better and slightly furrier. All she asks for in return is a loving home, a good belly rub, and a commitment to making all her dreams come true which mostly involve treats and affection.
If you're ready to unleash some serious happiness, consider making an appointment to meet Jeanie!
Jeanie is approximately 7-8 months old, 40-45 pounds, up to date on all of her vetting and spayed. She is being fostered by a loving family in Highlands Ranch.

Kiki is a 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix who is ready for a family of her own. Her new family will need to have some patience, she tends to start out quite shy. Once she is comfortable, Kiki is one of the most loving dogs. Her perfect day would be a mellow one at home with a bit of play, and a whole bunch of love. She likes to snuggle and give hugs. Like most dogs, Kiki does like to bark at people walking by, stop barking when called.
This beautiful girl is 52lbs, completely potty trained and crate trained. She is a total foodie- with treats and blueberries being her faves.
Kiki really needs a patient, loving family who has someone who works from home or is home more often. Kiki is very shy around new people, she takes some time to warm up. She has 4 teens in the home, has a bestie dachshund and does fine around the kitties. She is dog friendly, needing proper introductions for success. Kiki would do best with a backyard as she loves to spend her time outside. Older children are a great fit.
Kiki is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply to meet this girl! She deserves the happiest ever after. She is currently in a loving foster home in Aurora.
