Gabriel is ready for his new home!
Gabriel is quite a handsome fella, a total angel! He is a St. Bernard mix, at least that is our best guess. He has a big fluffy coat, perfect for the mountains of Colorado. Gabriel is 8 months old, DOB 06/11/2024 and 58 pounds, so not huge. This hunky guy is in need of a new home. His owner was in a car accident and could no longer care for him so we brought him to CO to find his new family. He is good with cats (no reaction to them) was submissive to their dominant dog in the house and good with 2 small yappy Chihuahuas. Really great with kids. He is mellow, easy going and full of love. His idea of a good time is hanging out by his people, wherever they may be. He’s great on walks, short hikes and has gone for slow runs. At home he is happy to snooze and snuggle. Dogs are fine, but kids are amazing in his world. Gabriel could use more socialization around other dogs for sure. Potty training is still in process. He is looking forward to being with his new family! LuckyDayRescue.org to apply. He is currently in a loving foster home in Carbondale, CO

George is ready for his new home! Is that with you?
This blue eyed beauty is full of love.
George combines the perfect blend of zoomies, leash walking and couch snuggling. He loves playing in the yard, being with his people; car rides, walks, naps. He is good with other dogs but can be too rambunctious at times. His foster is helping him to learn to tone it down.
George’s wish list would be a yard and a big dog to play with, along with a person who has time for lots of snuggling. He is currently in a loving foster home in Boulder. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply

FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR OCEAN!
Meet the GORGEOUS Ocean!
This beauty is 50% Newfoundland, 50% St. Bernard, 100% amazing! She is only 1 year old, just a great big baby girl. She weighs 100 pounds with a beautiful, thick black coat and fluffy plume tail. She LOVES being with her people, her current person said she is perfect in every way, the sweetest most special dog. She also said 'She is wonderful around the house, calm and quiet, walks really well on leash, is a good listener, loves to ride in the car, sleeps on the floor next to my bed and is great company. When we are out on our walks and she is on leash, she walks by other dogs very nicely. She loves to play with other dogs!
Ocean will thrive in a home where she can get lots of attention, isn’t left alone too much and would love a big backyard to enjoy. She LOVES to be outside, especially in the snow. She loves to run and play but will do better with leash walks and yard play right now as she has some structural issues that need addressing. Ocean has been very well socialized and does well in various situations and loves the attention of all, the more the better! She is so snuggly and a huge cuddler, smells delicious and would love to be pet all day long. Plus she is smart!
Sadly, Ocean was born with some structural issues and is in need of some surgeries. She has been to one Orthopedic Surgeon who suggested she get 2 TPLO surgeries for torn ACL’s and a hip replacement, maybe both sides. She is going to Colorado Springs for a second opinion but she definitely will need some surgeries and someone to help rehab her. Once they are complete and she is healed she will literally be BIONIC and able to do anything, as she deserves!
If you are interested in helping this beauty on her journey, whether to foster or want to love her for life and make her part of your family, please apply at LuckyDayRescue.org. We adore her!!!

Chester is ready for his forever home!
OK, seriously? Not sure there is any way this little fella could be any cuter. His name is Chester and he is a mini Bernese Mountain dog/miniature poodle mix (mini BernaDoodle).
He was born 12/23/2024 so is now 11 weeks old and a whopping 8.6 pounds. This little guy is full of personality and is as loving as he is cute. Sweet, happy, snuggly and AMAZING with kids. We would really love for him to go to a home with kids as he just lights up around them. He loves to play with other dogs and would love a doggie playmate but would also thrive as an only dog. Chester was born with one of his back legs shorter than the others so often holds it up but it does not slow him down in any way. We think he would do well with a little bootie and hoping in time his body balances out. Our vet does not think he needs any medical treatment and that he will have a full happy life. He runs and plays bringing pure joy to all, he doesn’t even seem to notice. Chester is currently in a loving foster home in Carbondale. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!

FOSTER NEEDED FOR BODIE!
Bodie is a darling Schnoodle! (Schnauzer/miniature Poodle mix). He is only 4 pounds and 10 weeks old (DOB 12-16-24). This little guy is so precious, snuggly, playful and could not be cuter. He has an eye infection that is currently being treated with an antibiotic eyedrops called Neopolidex but the vet suspects it could be Microphthalmia. The vet said it should not be causing any pain or suffering.
If it is Microphthalmia, it is a congenital condition in which a puppy is born with abnormally small eyes. This can affect one or both eyes and may lead to partial or complete blindness. The condition occurs due to improper development of the eye during fetal growth and can be genetic, associated with infections, or linked to environmental factors during pregnancy. The current fosters said they do not think he is blind as he navigates and plays normally. (more info on our website) If you are interested in fostering this darling little fella just go to LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!
Symptoms of Microphthalmia in Puppies:
• Small or underdeveloped eyes
• Sunken appearance of the eyes
• Vision impairment or blindness
• Cloudy or opaque corneas (in some cases)
• Other eye abnormalities, such as cataracts or colobomas
Causes:
• Genetic Inheritance: Certain breeds, such as Collies, Australian Shepherds, and Doberman Pinschers, are more prone to microphthalmia.
• Infections or Toxins During Pregnancy: Some viral infections or exposure to toxins in utero can interfere with normal eye development.
• Nutritional Deficiencies: Inadequate vitamin A intake in the mother may contribute to improper eye formation.
Treatment & Management:
There is no cure for microphthalmia, but management focuses on ensuring the puppy’s comfort and quality of life. This may include:
• Regular veterinary check-ups to monitor eye health
• Protecting the eyes from injury (especially if the puppy has reduced or no vision)
