✨ Meet Kora! ✨

Kora is about a year old, around 35 lbs, and a Catahoula (possibly mix) with big paws—which means she’s likely not done growing into herself just yet. What she already has fully developed? Her affection. This girl is incredibly sweet, loves her people, and is happiest curled up next to a human for maximum cuddle time. Bedtime? She’s all in. Expect an all-night snuggle buddy.

Kora can be a little nervous when meeting other dogs at first, but with slow, thoughtful introductions, she decides pretty quickly that friends are actually great. She takes her cues from our resident dogs and would do best with an older, confident dog sibling who can show her the ropes and help her build confidence.

True to her Catahoula roots, Kora has some herding instincts and would love to organize any creatures smaller than her—dogs, cats, you name it. With cats, she’s a bit of a mixed bag: she’s somewhat afraid of some and overly interested in others, but could learn to coexist with a brave, confident cat if her adopter is committed to training and management.

She walks nicely on leash and is eager to learn, though she’s still working on some classic young-dog habits like counter surfing and jumping up for attention. When crated, she may protest with a bit of howling at first, but she does settle. We haven’t left her loose when home alone yet, as she’s still figuring out what not to get into.

Kora deserves a home that will prioritize her exercise, structure, and continued training—because with guidance and consistency, she’s going to be an absolutely incredible dog. She’s loving, smart, and trying her best… and she’s so ready for someone to help her become the very best version of herself.

Duke is a purebred Coonhound. He is so beautiful, inside and out. Very sensitive soul. This sweet fella is urgent due to lack of space at the shelter he is currently in. We would love to help him find a new home in CO but need a foster or adopter to commit to him. Duke is very dog friendly and loves people. He has a wonderful voice. He is a good boy. He loves walks and hiking. He loves giving kisses. Duke is around 3 years old and about 55 pounds. He has all his vaccinations, is neutered, hw- and ready to come to CO. Goldie!

This pretty orange kitty is looking for a home. Goldie is about 2 years old and only about 6-7 pounds. She is very friendly to people and would love to be the only cat in the house (she is currently living with LOTS of cats). She would be so happy to be getting all the attention! Meet Robbie!

This amazing dog keeps getting overlooked but he is the happiest, friendliest dog you could meet. He is about 5 years old and 45 pounds of pure love. You could literally take him anywhere and he will make friends with everyone. He lived in a foster home with 5 kids, 2 cats and a Husky and was wonderful with all. He loves car rides will make such an amazing companion. Robbie loves life and will bring joy to whoever gets him!

He is currently living in a humid horse barn due to lack of space and overcrowding in Roland, Oklahoma.  Although not ideal, his space is desperately needed to save dogs from the euthanasia list.  We would love to bring him to CO but need a safe place for him to land.

Page is the perfect pooch, she 27 pounds and 2 years old, super sweet, loves other dogs, cats and is very kid friendly! She was dumped and found as a stray in Alabama. They are so overcrowded we would love to help but need a safe place for her to land in CO to bring her here. This girl loves to learn new things (tricks are so fun!) and is excellent at agility. She must have been an acrobat in her previous life because she loves jumping and running up and down ramps. She will do anything to please people. She is a Velro dog. She has been with the rescue for a while without any adoption interest which we can’t understand as she is a dream girl! Page would love Colorado.

Hi there, my name is Storm, I am a handsome boy with a shiny black coat. I'm approximately a 2-year-old male Labrador Retriever mix and I weigh a solid 65 pounds. I may not be a small dog, but I've got a big heart and an even bigger smile. 

I've been at the shelter for 419 days now, patiently waiting for the perfect family to come along. I ended up at the shelter because my previous owners had a busy work schedule and couldn't give me the time and attention I needed. But that's okay because I'm ready to find a new family who will love and cherish me. And let me tell you, I've got so much love to give!

My special trait? I am head over paws in love with water! Whether it's splashing in a lake, playing in a kiddie pool, or chasing a hose, I am in my element. So, if you have a pool or a backyard with a sprinkler, I know we'll have a blast together!

I'm an active boy who loves to go on walks or hikes, and I'll make the perfect adventure buddy. I'll be your best friend in no time. My friends at the shelter say I have the happiest tail wag and I'm always ready to play.

Halle is ready for her next wonderful family!

Meet a truly special girl: Halle. A six-year-old, (DOB 11/14/19) 70-pound beauty with a stunning black coat and the most unforgettable eyes - one bright blue and one warm brown. Her unique look turns heads everywhere she goes, but it’s her joyful spirit that really steals hearts.

She’s full of life and energy, always ready for a walk, a game, or an adventure with her favorite people. She’s amazing in the car and loves trips, making her a wonderful companion for outings near or far. Friendly by nature, she absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys meeting new people. When someone enters her world, her excitement sometimes gets the best of her - she just can’t hide how happy she is to see you.

Like many enthusiastic pups, she doesn’t always realize how strong she is, but it all comes from a place of pure affection and eagerness to connect. Highly intelligent and eager to learn, she is easily trained (including with an invisible fence) and loves playing fetch with her ball. With her playful personality and loving heart, she brings a lot of fun and warmth wherever she goes. Halle is a true spirit. Needs room to roam and someone to roam with. Meet Maxwell! He is an amazing boy and is perfect for Colorado, especially since the summer is coming and Alabama is no fun for Huskies and their fur coats.

Any Great Dane lovers out there??

Meet Sandy!

This gorgeous Great Dane is about 2 years old and on the smaller side weighing in at 74 pounds but could use some groceries. She is very loving and is so excited to come to CO on April 15, she just needs a safe place to land. Can you help her on her journey?

Sandy is house trained and doing well on a leash. She is such a lover and is super cuddly. She would love to be a lap dog! She is great with dogs of all sizes and is in a foster home (in Arkansas) with 2 smaller dogs and a XL Mastiff. She does great with all of them. She hasn’t been cat tested so we don’t know about that unfortunately. Sandy likes to be with her people and is up for anything. She will go in a crate but prefers not to. What she really wants is to be with her person as much as possible.
