Bella is ready for her new home! For almost 3 years Bella has been quietly waiting. That is almost 1000 days!! She arrived at the shelter with eyes full of uncertainty- about 1 year old at the time, she had recently had puppies. With a soft speckled coat and a heart clearly worn by heartbreak. No one knows exactly what Bella went through before arriving at the rescue but her cautious steps and gentle demeanor spoke volumes. She was kind, loving and above all patient. Bella never asked for much. She doesn’t need the spotlight. Three years is long time in a dog's life. In that time Bella has learned how to love again, on her terms. She has opened up to the staff and volunteers she sees regularly. She knows her routine, loves her walks and lights up when she sees someone she trusts. Her eyes, once clouded with fear, now glow with quiet hope. But still she waits. Bella deserves a home where she can exhale, a peaceful place to rest her head and share her love. Bella is now 4 years old. Once we heard her story we said please send her to us! We now need a FOSTER or ADOPTER for this angel girl. She is very submissive, good with other dogs and just takes a little time to warm up and to trust, understandably. She is arriving to CO May 15. She is now officially out of the shelter and in a foster home in AR, waiting for her ride to her new life. We would love it if you could share her story, maybe donate a blanket, bed or some toys to help welcome her to CO. We are looking forward to showing her love and finding her forever home. She will reward you with all her heart! LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!

FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR SWEET TARA!!
Tara is looking for her new home and is excited to come to CO! She was part of a hoarding case living in filthy conditions with 18 other dogs. The vet guesses her to be about 5 years old, 19 pounds of love! Looks to be a Jack Russel or Parson Russel Terrier mix. Despite her past, this little angel is sweet and friendly! She loves to carry her toys around and is almost always seen with one in her mouth. She was so sad when she couldn't take the one from the house where she was rescued but it was covered in fleas and so nasty. Luckily her new foster got her all new clean ones! Her Oklahoma foster says about her:
“Miss Tara is a super great dog, she is great with dogs of other sizes. She gets along great with all of mine. She does great with cats. She does great with kids. She has had at least one litter of puppies, but is now spayed. She’s got some hair loss on her booty and she’s working on growing that back. She loves to cuddle. She is great in the car, can load up easily. She stays in the yard when we go out. Her teeth are in pretty good condition, they are really white and there’s hardly any wear on them at all.
She was covered in fleas when we got her. She could not stop scratching, even after her initial round of Nexgard plus. She has since had another Nexgard and is on a round of prednisone. All the scratching has now stopped and her bare spots are filling in nicely. She may still have some hair loss when she arrives but it shouldn’t take long for it to grow fully back in and no more fleas! She can be a bit shy upon first meeting a new person but quickly warms up and then she is yours.
She is going to make someone or a whole family very happy!
Tara will be coming to CO on Wednesday, May 28.
